Jared Golant
LCSW, Psychodynamic Therapist
if you’re ready to confront the madness beyond the edges of your ego, integrate your most devious parts, and expand into something undeniably magical, then let's talk.

Areas of Expertise
Addiction, Personality Psychology, Holistic Principles, Anxiety, Men's Issues, Conflict Resolution
Our mental, emotional, and physiological struggles always represent wise responses to various kinds of imbalances. When approached with curiosity, our struggles are our greatest teachers.
Together, we can discover how the parts of your personality uphold a life script that supported you when you were young, and may benefit from some updating.
Frameworks including Enneagram, Myers-Briggs, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Transactional Analysis, and shadow integration support our investigations.
About me

I help you get to the heart of your inner conflicts with questions like:
-
What are the different parts of your personality?
-
Why do you keep repeating the same patterns over and over?
-
Why do you choose one emotional response over another?

We'll dive deep into your cognition, character, and life script so you feel empowered to embrace yourself fully and edit your experience as you please. I take a non-pathologizing approach, leading you into health rather than out of illness.

You've probably worked with therapists who are good at reflective listening, but leave you feeling like you have to rely exclusively on yourself for turning the content of the session into actionable insight. Clients often tell me I'm the first therapist who offered specific feedback or suggestions that felt uniquely tailored to them.
I offer you a new view of yourself that's based in holistic wisdom (rather than pathological diagnosis). You'll understand the purpose behind your pain while embracing the realities of your life from a place of resourcefulness and present-focused awareness.

1
Working with anxiety
Anxiety isn’t something to force into hiding. Anxiety is a signal that you’ve forsaken your inner wealth to chase a sense of security the outer world can never give you.
But when confronted and alchemized, anxiety becomes courage, conviction, and the willingness to act on both gut sense and third eye vision.
2
Exploring addiction
Addiction isn’t self-harm or self-indulgence. It’s a script, a role you play with eerie precision. On the surface, it feels like rebellion or release, but underneath, it’s a well-rehearsed performance.
Addiction sustains emotional cycles, props up social games, and reinforces deep-seated beliefs about the self. Even the body gets in on the act, using substances to numb sensations it hasn’t learned to handle. The trick isn’t just quitting—it’s catching yourself in the act, seeing the joke, and stepping off the stage before the next scene plays out exactly as written.

Understanding health
Too often we come to view health as a matter of managing symptoms. But true wellness is a matter of embracing the entirety of oneself, not conquering the parts of ourselves we don't like or understand.
Having studied stages of human growth, from cognition, to character, to scripts, to identity, I know that the pain that we feel is always connected to the gifts that we are destined to develop. In virtually every case, symptoms can become our greatest teachers.
